Children Protection

Child protection

IUCHR strongly believe that every child should feel safe in every area of their lives.

Protection from violence, exploitation, abuse, and neglect, it’s their right to feel protected and safe

Let’s end children’s violence, and rebuild their lives.

It’s estimated to be around  75 percent of the world’s children experiencing some sort of violence, days in and out of they live. nearly two-fifths of children between the age of 18 and younger will more likely to experience neglect, physical violence, emotional violence, and sexual abuse. Signs of abuse can hardly be detected, and many are still experiencing violence in their home and communities, in school and within their entourage. Those signs can be but not limited to, being withdrawn, passive and overly compliant may be an indication of violence.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says at least 1 in 7 childrenTrusted Source in the United States experience some form of abuse or neglect each year. However, the number may be much higher since abuse is often not reported.

We are advocating the right to protection for every child. we believe that protection from harm, violence including, physical violence and emotional, sexual harm and exploitation to neglect or abuse should be our first and most priority.

We want to make sure that every child anywhere in the world has the right to protection, to live a peaceful life at home, in school, online and in their communities.

The legal definition of Child Protection Act is “The purpose of the National Child Protection Act of 1993 is to encourage states to improve the quality of their criminal history and child abuse records. The Act was passed in October 1993 and amended in the Crime Control Act of 1994.

We believe that every child should:

  • Feel safe in his/her community
  • Feel safe online
  • Feel safe while playing
  • Feel safe on every level

“We are experiencing increases in the number of children referred to CPS at the same time that there is a decrease in the number of children determined to be victims of abuse and neglect. At the federal level, using the National Child Abuse and Neglect Database System (NCANDS) to capture and analyze CPS data will inform our understanding of this phenomenon.”

Jerry Milner, Acting Commissioner of the Administration on Children, Youth and Families and Associate Commissioner of the Children’s Bureau

“I want to feel safe in my neighborhood, whether it’s going to school or fetching water”

-Safi from DRC-

For children like Safi, living in a war zone, she does not always feel safe, and so many other children living in her neighborhood. All she wants is to feel that she is safe and her family.

We want to be an organization of genuine people with the heart of changing the world and making a difference in people’s lives. We also want to contribute to the next generation of success. In order to be that kind of organization, we need to share our values, belief, and passion with people like you who also want to make a difference in other people’s life.

We also won’t be that organization we want to be without you. We value people more than anything because we believe that, they are the ones who make that difference.

By working together and supporting each other, we can achieve more with IUCHR and bring about positive change in the world. Unity is a powerful force that can bring about transformative change and create a more united and compassionate society.
